The controversy I will be doing this on is a picture from the Vietnam war in June 8th, 1972. It is of a 9 year old girl that flees from a village, this village was accidentally bombed with napalm due to conspiracy of it being a threat.

This controversy was all about the Vietnam War and the United States being accused and proven to be committing war crimes. A large sum of the American people came out with vocal force, there were huge protests about what was going on in Vietnam, the veterans coming back faced a large portion of this backlash. When returning home they would be harassed by protesters about the atrocities they may have committed overseas. These 'hard to look at' photographs dramatically affected public opinion of this war, domestic and internationally.  The United States faced pressure from other nations about what was going on with little to any success most times.

Based on my ethics board I would have to be in opposition of this, yes what we did in Vietnam can be seen as necessary but are we really any better than someone by stooping to the same level as them just for ''victory''? I feel the United States lost a lot of dignity and honest credibilty from Vietnam and that it was a conflict we should not have gotten involved in. The United States did not even take accountability for their actions for some time, this I do not respect. The biological/chemical warfare used that was kept secret for years until thousands suffered from exposure effects. Vietnam was an ugly look for our country and this photo embodies that theme.

People of Palestine being heavily affected by widespread bombings.

Hamas using civilians as a measure of protection and Israel having no regard for civilian and terrorist targets being mixed together, this results in extremely high innocent civilian casualty rate. Very similar to the United States and Vietnam scenario.

I am confused by the instructions on this as in part A I have already created and uploaded an ethics map of my own.
